The aim of Sam’s Learning Tree is to offer an opportunity for all children to realise their full potential and to provide a caring and happy community within which their academic, physical and social needs are met.
Sam’s Learning Tree has 5 different childcare units - Baby, Tweenie, Toddler, Pre-School and Sam's Club. Within each area we operate a system of 'Learning through Play'. Each area plans their activities so as to cover all aspects of the child's development specific to their age and ability. All of the children have a developmental file within which their development is recorded every 3 months. This file follows your child from area to area and is yours to keep when your child goes on to full time school.
The Baby, Tweenie and Toddler Unit follow the Birth to Three Matters Framework. Each area offers a secure environment with equipment to both interest and stimulate your child. Within each area the children benefit from adult help and interaction. The activities will be both challenging and enjoyable and will be specific to each child’s’ individual needs, whilst covering a broad spectrum of activities. As a parent you will receive a daily record sheet to keep you informed about your child on a day-to-day basis
The Pre-School Unit allows children to be more independent and gives them more freedom to choose the activities that they wish to participate in, while ensuring that they experience a variety of tasks that let your child is achieve his/her full potential. In this area all seven of the Early Learning Goals are covered to ensure that all of the children are receiving the full Foundation Stage Curriculum.
